Enter the mountain through a gate wreathed in cloud forest. The Machame route immediately feels more dramatic than its gentler neighbours. Trek through lush rainforest rich in moss, ferns, and the calls of Hartlaub's turaco. Arrive at Machame Camp as the forest gives way to the first moorland views.
