Nyerere National Park is one of Africa's largest protected wilderness areas — untouched landscapes, large elephant herds, buffalo, lion, wild dogs, hippo, crocodile, and exceptional birdlife along the Rufiji River. This four-day route pairs it with Mikumi National Park's open Mkata Floodplain, famous for its excellent wildlife visibility, before a scenic train transfer back to Dar es Salaam.
